GAIACOOLING

You own the system. So you own the responsibility.

As the operator of a refrigeration system you keep the logbook and must be able to show where the refrigerant went. We handle that at replacement and decommissioning, alongside your current maintenance contractor.

Where it often goes wrong
  • The maintenance contractor decides where the gas goes, but you are ultimately responsible.
  • After a replacement there is no proof of what happened to the refrigerant.
  • Nobody has an overview of which systems are hit by which ban, and when.
  • Your ESG report asks for figures nobody tracks.
What we do

Decommissioning

One price per site, agreed upfront: recovery, licensed transport, paperwork and certificate.

Certificate

Kilos, gas type, CO₂ equivalent and destination. For your logbook and reporting.

Overview

Across several sites: one register with the relevant phase-out dates per system.

Your contractor

We work with whoever maintains your systems. You don't need to change anything.

For organisations with ten or more sites, estate management is usually the simplest route: one contract, one overview, one report a year.

Frequently asked questions

Who is the operator of a refrigeration system?

Whoever has actual control over the technical functioning of the system, usually the owner or user. That party is responsible for leak checks, the logbook and proper recovery.

Do we need to change maintenance contractor?

No. We work with your current contractor. They do the recovery, we handle the disposal, the paperwork and the reporting.

What do we get afterwards?

A copy of the consignment note and a certificate stating kilos, gas type, CO₂ equivalent and destination. With estate management, an annual report as well.
